I know how it feels to try everything—only to end up back where you started. The cycle of yo-yo dieting, frustration, and defeat can feel endless. But what if I told you that lasting, sustainable weight loss isn’t meant to be a constant struggle? I know this because I’ve lived it—not once, but twice—losing over 140 lbs each time. For most of my adult life, my weight loss was driven by self-loathing and aesthetics, yet true health and freedom always felt out of reach. It wasn’t until I lost my beloved father and found myself at 306 lbs—grieving, depressed, and barely making it through medical school—that I realized something had to change. I was existing, but I had stopped truly living.

A conference on obesity science opened my eyes, but the real transformation began when I prioritized my mental health—through counseling, my support system, journaling, walking, and prayer. These five tools became the foundation of my healing. With patience, self-love, and evidence-based science, I immersed myself in understanding the hormonal, genetic, and environmental drivers of obesity. As I learned, I adapted, and over three years, I lost 140 lbs effortlessly—this time, for good.
